After buying more colour 600 film from ebay, and I know the manufacturing work has stopped, I still receive five year old polaroids.
I am stuck now using the PX100 [600] FF films because even though I've bought from another company, the package come from the same company...faded photos...still.

Good morrow my Geordie lass,
oddly it's the goggles i can't use...The lens screws on very nicely, but the goggles are loose and just fall off, and the focus area doesn't line up with the goggles as they don't sit flush...I am trying to bid on a close up kit with compatible goggles on ebay so we'll see how that goes... it's very frustrating.
I looked on the landlist as I'm desperate to find a portrait kit too- but I can't seem to find a + 1 diopter with a compatible thread...no one seems to really know the exact thread measurement!
it's most annoying how nothing is universally compatible between such similar cameras!

@DodelKrampus - yeah thanks, looks like your experiment confirms my early comment - that considering the age and original maufacturing tolerances the camera might make more difference than wheel adjustments and filters :)) I can see camera prices rising steeply as people buy sx-70's both for the first time to use the new PX100 film in and also additional cameras to try and get better results from - watch eBay and see if my suspicions are correct - Cheers VF
