i'll go for one of my five SLR680, because he loves so much the 600 film he was made for. Sharp, efficient, good looking. With special lextra love for my two SE (although I never really knew what the SE had that the regular did not have). I'm so affraid I could break it (I already broke two) that I always keep a working one in a safe place, just in case. And I hardly resist to buy a new one each time a good opportunity shows up on ebay.

Maybe of interest to some members, the Minolta Instant Pro was the best of the breed by a large margin, very sought after, this one is not cheap but look what it comes with !!

Got my latest SX-70 from USA today Collector Detectors on Ebay. Gorgeous condition and very very smooth operation. Lot of money, but it may just work out worth it.

I cant wait for a decent repair service from IP, the duds are piling up.

Impossible should release dedicated new albums for our beloved frames at reasonable price, they would sell for sure.

Hi, the best and cheapest place is Ebay, many of the good sellers based in Japan are selling it already for about £120 with shipping promised around 9th September.

Oh and I have no connection at all with Fuji - just think the Instax cameras and film and the best of their type at the moment , so any cynics can go back to your
beds now. I use Polaroid as well but they dont make cameras any more (other than a re-badged Fuji) the film from IP is a noble try but still needs further development before it's really useful and Polaroid's new films being released soon are made by Fuji as well. One does not have to be a genius to see where the future is?

Interesting......a few months ago, this film would be snapped up at this price, now with PX available, its not so desirable?.

Another SX-70 down last night, this one, and old one with broken loading door, but was still working, until half way through the film pack. I have now lost 3 cameras, and 5 packs of film this week including 3 of vintage 600B&W.

There has got to be someone somewhere on this planet capable of repairing these things?.

I now find myself on Ebay risking anything fro 250.00 to 400.00 for 'working' examples.

uhh, i'm not sure what kind of question i'm actually responding to (eBay.. what? overpriced items?), but yeah.. uncleslappy38 used to be a member of polanoid, and i think he's meanwhile (been) back with a different user name, but he hardly ever posts on the news feed (got burned by "VIP" people on here 1 1/2-2 years ago, which I believe was the reason why he left/deleted his original account).

Jay, these days, SX-70's seem to be going for ~60+ Euro on eBay Germany etc. (vs. 20-30 Euro half a year or so ago and earlier).

Dunno about elsewhere though; all I know is that for years now, I've been reading about USians finding & buying SX-70's at thrift stores for just a few dollars whereas I've never seen even the simplest and crappiest Polaroid cameras go for anything less than 20 Euro at fleamarkets or second-hand shops here. (I envy all of you USians for your seemingly awesome thrift stores, I really do!!! We don't have that kind of thing here.. buh.)
