i have a wish, a dream, for a series of photos. although i can see this so clearly in my mind i'm unable to preserve this vision with my camera. it's like a puzzle. i'm going to think about the solution for this puzzle until i'm able to find the correct solution. i realized this puzzle existed while observing my hand dangling over the arm of my usual chair.

So here I am, with a mostly functioning SX-70 which was given to my father as a gift in the 70's. The non-functioning part of it is some kind of fungal bloom on the back of the lens which I plan to sort out (although it does give pictures a dreamy quality)

My parents live in France and I was over there a couple of weeks ago. I took along a pack of TZ Artistic film bought from the Photographers' Gallery in London and we ran it through the camera.

PolaMagic occurred.

If only the film was less expensive, but that will be part of the pleasure of taking photos that matter again, rather than the disposable snapping of digital. Although I'll still be doing that too...

wow...i´m leafing (?) through that fabulous peter beard book from taschen right now. ( not that collectors edition..but the cheaper one) . makes me dream, wonder, shed some blood for my pictures. incredible work...yes and a lot of polaroids in there, also..

Last night I had a dream where I broke into a Polaroid Factory and fell down a chute filled with empty boxes of ID-UV...When I got to the bottom, I went outside and there was a strange Polatheme Park...complete with rides shaped like cameras and a marketplace where I could find batteries and parts for my 360 flash. What do you think it means? :-D
