ProCam

The PROCAM was introduced in1996. It belongs to the Spectra category, although it is completely different comestically.
The folding system opens on the side, giving the camera an unique design, with a funny little round viewfinder popping up from nowhere.

The lens is a 90mm, 4-element, ( shorter focal length compared with other Spectra cameras) of much better quality than the other Spectra models. Apertures goes from f/10 to f/45, Shutter speed from 1/245 to 2,8 sec.
It has built-in flash and the usual spectra sonar system. (note that the flashlight is UNDER the lens wich is quite unusual)
When closed, it is a little more flat than other spectras, and heavier too (1kg).

The control panels features an unique date/time imprint capability. It has flash and focus override , the usual lighten/darken control but lacks self timer and plug for remote.

Note that an easy-to-use close-up lense is hidden in a little bag stuck to the side handle. Interesting to notice that it can stay on the lens when closing the camera.

It comes with a very impressive accessory: the 1x1 close-up stand. Strongly built, with two 45 ° mirrors that capture the flashlight and dispatch it equally on each side, a very good additional lens , a door on its front to supervise the framing (when using that tool, the viewfinder is no longer operating) and a sophisticated (and sometimes tricky) mecanism to attach it to the front of the camera.

This camera is really enjoyable, easy to use for scale 1 reproduction or any other close-up fantasy and gives among the best optical results in the whole Spectra category.
