Polaroid 355

The polaroid 355 is an hybrid version in the 300 series.

It has a metal body, tripod socket, and same optic as 350, but separate rangefinder focus and parallax-corrected viewfinder like the 340. Timer is also the mechanical one.

This is an automatic camera. Setting the film speed and the type of picture with two switches allows you to choose through the following apertures f/8.8, f/12.5, f/17.5, f/25, f/35, and f/42.

The electric eye will automatically set the opening shutter time from 1/1200s to 10 seconds and you have to hold the shutter button down until the shutter closes [actually it seems that our 355 locks open after 10 seconds in real darkness, kinda automatic B pose setting].

The 355 uses 100 type films.
Now still available 669, 690, amazing 667, 665, 664, 125i, FP100 and dirty FP3000 films, leave us an enjoyable large choice to feed this wondafoul toy.

Enjoy even more using the 355 with flashbulbs powered flashgun, self timer, flexible shutter release, UV filter and portrait kit.

Only sad part is that this baby is running with 4.5V weird battery that is not produced anymore, but lil' hands, screwdriver and much luv help to find solutions, like mounting a same Voltage compact computer clock battery as a durable pacemaker.

This camera makes really deep pictures and is a pleasure to use in any situation. The possibility to take lowlight interior pictures without flash especially with 3000 iso film is pure happiness.

Nowadays such camera is very cheap, but needs a battery openheart operation to start being your everyday companion.
