Thanks. I just described the technique in another comment. You need two Polas. You cut one open around the sides with a scalpel, peel it apart and gently wash the emulsion away from the back until you get the transparency/opaquen ess you want in the places you want. Then you glue the washed Pola onto the top of the other one.

No, I opened up the picture of the sea with the silhouette and washed the emulsion away in swirls so that some of the image became transparent and some was washed away entirely. Then I put the Pola of the room/window behind it and glued it all back together. Try it out.
