Hi. Um. Standing ovation.

This is genius. I particularly like top left corner, top middle, top right corner, middle middle, middle right, middle left, bottom right, bottom left, and bottom middle. (The others leave something to be desired.)

Your writing is damn good. Wow. You hold forth here with a wry, zesty pop that’s kind of contagious. Enough wit to fill a flotilla of dump trucks.

Your prose brings to mind Paul Zelinsky’s massively entertaining children’s picture book "Swamp Angel."

In conclusion, Marry me?

Lots of fun and a very well told story. No doubt it made the headlines in the local papers.
^
it is still spoken of today in many corners of Eggersville.

and thanks ;)

Oh God. Such a senseless loss. Somehow, the monument and the corn liquor festivals can never make up for it.

Did Mr Eggman reform? Did he kill himself? Was he impaled on a pitchfork and left to have his eyes gouged out by giant chickens?

^
Well, the villagers, being the generous people that they were, forgave Captain Eggman on condition that he enter rehab and quit drinking. He did a stint at the Betty Ford Clinic (payed for by a local church) and stayed sober the rest of his days. All in all, a happy ending, but not for the One Egg and the people remember it as a lesson for how bad things can get if you let the corn liquor take hold.

Eggcellent idea, I was eggstatic to see this storyline, I would have come up with my own but compared to yours I would have no doubt been left with egg on my face. This Polaroid habit is no yoke,I mean it gets white to the heart of important issues like starving villagers. Now I lie egghausted from writing this eggstrordinary comment:)
^
