This is beaut. I'm tempted to try the same thing with my gas hob, but i'd probably just burn my eyebrows off (again), Speaking of which, many moons ago i used to light cigarettes (and stuff) off these electric hot plates when i couldn't find any matches - have you ever attempted that litle manoeuvre? That is a path that almost certainly leads to singed-eyebrow-town.

^ i have, indeed, in desperate moments tried to use a stove coil to light a cigarette. thankfully, i never singed my eyebrows or eyelashes or anything....most likely because i was wincing the whole time.... xoxo kristen
