Dune 45, Désert du Namib // Dune 45, Nam
When walking up the side of a sand dune one walks on the crest to easy the underfoot. But when photographing amongst hoards of other tourists you want to get the untrodden crest, something one must be at the front of the pack to do so. The race to the front front required one to overtake of the slopes, a feat that required much more effort than originally conceived. The outstanding view once there is certainly worth the ruffing and puffing.
Dune 45 is a star dune in the Sossusvlei area of the Namib Desert in Namibia.
