g.
siiiiiiigh.
you got hands on 803... knowing how much i love 53, even more than 667, i always tried to get some, and either didn't had the money for a bunch at once, or got outbid every time so far.
i'm officially jealous. :)
it's nice to see if a technique gets picked up so well executed.
and again, the composition, the idea with the shadow and the body without details.. outstanding (to stay at the image with my words).

for the framing with a pinhole: if you draw lines from the center of the filmplane to the edges of the box at the opposite plane where the pinhole is, you get the angle of what your camera will take. it gets difficult to imagine how the image will get drawn if its too tele or too wide, but otherwise (and yours seems of pretty 'normal' focallength) it works quite well. you could built a frame to get assisted with framing (like the sportfinders on the vintage press cameras). depending on how big the box is rgarding the actual film, you'd may have to make the angle smaller. hope you get the idea by my explanation.

^
hehe, g. again, i think i got you well with that one on many levels!
i'm glad you enjoy it so much...

i got 2 packs of 803 on the impossible auctions a while ago.
i was speaking about it with Bastian the other day. and we said that people where so focused on getting the last sx-70 pack for a couple of 100 euros, that nobody saw that the 803 was going for just 115 euro!
i got both they had, and now i'm bery happy about it...
i've got also 804, but haven't tried it yet. i think it won't be as nice as this film...

i think it's a great idea to build a sports finder. thank you once again for your tips...
this camera is the one Dan has been using. like you said it's a pretty normal focal lenghs.
it will be easy to build something to help me. in any case, the iphone has been quite a funny tool to use in my analogue
journey! hehe.
especially when all those talks about the new camera from impossibleP.!!

hope i won't disappoint you with my next lost shadow picture and the 803!!!
hopefully i will go shoot again in the end of the month...

oh boy, this is awesome!!! didn´t know 803 had a negative (is it the same as in 55? or did you bleech it?) congrats anyway!
^
hehe, thanks a lot. happy you like it.

803 doesn't have a negatif like 55 but the negative part after separating the positive is pretty good for scanning.
take a while to dry , like two days, but it doesn't fade away like some other ones do.

HAHA so great again!!! :-)
This looks like a very very good series ;-)
Congrats again man!!!
First i thought that this is a wet image... It looks like there are drops of water on it. Then i noticed it is from the negative. I absolutely love this shot! It's the perfect start with the new toy. Go Go Go!

^
yes wow, didn't expect to have that great response again.
twice in a row. never happened before to me.

i think i'm on to something nice with this series.
it's a little funny, dark at the same time, and the formats are quite good.
what do you prefer? the montage or this one?
or could it be ok to mix the different format in the same series?

took 2 days to dry with this negative! but it's looks so good already not inverted.
i probably got lucky for my first shot.
was using the iphone on top of the camera box to try to frame it as best as possible! hehe.
i think the negative is more interesting than the positive so far with this 803 film.
i like how dirty it gets. like you said, it's almost a look of wet plates.

totally agree with orezemit, apart from the fact that he must have a much larger screen than mine, and that I will probably never get the occasion to use neither 53 nor 803...
Et pour un cadrage au jugé, ben moi je dis bravo !

^
never say never. i wouldn't think a year ago that i would shoot 8x10 one day...
it's just to start and enjoy it...

merci for the comment. very glad you like it.

Very nice. Especially when it fills my screen when I click the "+".

Did you need to clear the negative before scanning? I've not used 803 before & can't recall what the few type 53 negatives looked like before I tossed them :( I'll need to pay attention to those in the future.

Would love to see the pinhole camera you used. Must have been tedious to work this out.

I quite like the tone of the photo, as well as the subject and composition. Well done. Again.

^
yes, it's a big negative!!!
i just let it dry after i separate the positive.
it's just amazing even when it's not inverted.

the camera is very nice to use. just a plain wooden box. f360.
quite fast exposure on sunny day.
i think that one was just 15 sec.
a bit hard still for the framing. i will get used to it with the time i think.

glad you like it. and yes keep checking on the 53 film. it's probably the same, just much smaller :-)) hehe.
