i have exactly one roll of 20c (plus a swinger or two) and i thought it would always be a "display" box.

perhaps i was wrong. as you were inspired i now am. i do love the look of these little images, the few that there are.

thinking... i have no nearby tv tower to shoot, but there are some silos quite close. perhaps.

ps/ and a castle too. ;)

^
to my philosophy, film is there to get used.
the package one could still keep.

I want a pod machine.

OMG! Did you actually find a working 20c rollfilm?
This picture is clear and has a nice contrast.
What was the expire date and how was it stored?

I am looking for 20c film, but i was affraid that it might be too old.

Tell me about it. Do you get any more pictures out of this roll?

haha, I'm afraid, no, I've never had luck with the swinger films. I got results with type 40 and 4x5 sheefilm from the sixties by time, but type 20.. never. And as far as I know, nobody. Too bad, as I really like these tiny little photos with its rounded corners. But, I always had an idea in mind, and it was actually YOU a while ago (at flickr) who finally made me giving it a try.
so, what I have done with sheetfilm for some years now is pod-swapping. and due to that, I am just used to the fact that it's a tricky task, as it has to be done in the dark. I never really payed attention to the fact that on rollfilm, the pod is glued to the positive, like it is with 8x10 as well, - until you were thinking aloud at flickr.
way more easy to deal with a curly roll in the light. next step was to find a matching reagent, where the material safety data sheets from polaroid are helpful. though 20c is not listed, I assumed 107c would be similar, and it was a good match.
then, gluing the pods on the positive roll. mine were thicker, so I couldn't make use of the whole film at once, as the roll became to thick. and, as one could expect, it's a bit messy ;)
all in all quite an operation still. but fun. sweet tiny camera.
the most surprising fact was, that the exposure system of this camera is so finicky it's hard to get a decent exposure. so what I did here was to research the exposure data of the swinger, and wait for the evenfall outside to match the exposure open wide. As I really wanted to know, much much the negative itself would have degraded after 40 years.

If this film would be readily available - I guess I would use it all the time.

Another one of this roll is at Kassel right now, you can see it here: »link

thank you. I've been most happy about this. As much as I have been happy to bring the film to life - the camera was really a tough one, one wouldn't believe.

"Any problem can be solved using the materials in the room." - Edwin H. Land

(that one is forever in my memory)

a good "cook" you are.

your film still appears as just before the heat of the projector will make it a memory.

beeindruckend

that's a nice thought.
I once transfered a Super-8 movie to video, and that is what happened to the very last image. It was perfect.
I should copy it to another medium, before VHS videorecorders become unrepairable (not even thinking about my masters on U-matic or digibeta.. sigh.)
