this is a beautiful portrait!

what were you thinking when you took this?

I'm inquisitive, if you haven't noticed... or annoying to some. ha

Good question.

Apart from all the topmost thoughts involving being in a lonely field and feeling happy to have a whole unplanned day stretching ahead of me with only pleasure to think of, the other thought in my mind was the observation that things like sitting in a meadow, waiting for the clouds to pass over the sun and feeling the wind wrap my hair around my face always gives me a very specific feeling - nothing I can put a name to, but just a long-gone feeling that I now associate with the year before I left my village to "seek my fortune". A feeling of eagerness to escape and leave everyone behind, very precariously and delicately balanced with sadness and a great reluctance for the moment of leaving to ever arrive; a sense of the past and the future being so very, very heavy in the balance that the present seemed an etherial, unreal thing to me. There are certain moments when something transports me back to the feeling I used to have at that time of my life. And those moments are associated with a sudden ability to recognise what the feeling associated with my life now is (I don't think you can usually sense what your "my life now"-feeling is like except for those moments when something takes you back to the past so strongly that it confuses your sense of time for a few moments. Anyway, that's what was going through my mind

In fact I have ordered a tri-pack after to have seen your picture!
I was confused between to buy or not to buy it!

Well that's great news! I only took a couple of singles away with me because I was so unsure myself. In the end though, I really wished I'd had more.

Some shots had less colour than these ones, but strong, warm direct light, not too much shadow and slight overexposure seemed to reduce the blueness. (The sky looks cloudy here, but the sun had come out and was actually shining brightly at the moment of taking the shot.)

Thank you! I wasn't sure I'd like the film, but it charmed me right from the start.
