Which film was that? I would love to see it! I get frustrated over here in US because there are some stupid Americans (see I can say that) :-) that think the "movie" City of Angels is the same thing as the film "Wings of Desire"

I enjoy Mr. Wenders work very much...(finally got the sequel, Faraway So close!) on DVD.

Anyway, I enjoy your work immensely and would love some suggestions on German films. :-)

^
"Der Himmel über Berlin"/"Wings of Desire" was the one I meant. But I must confess, I don't voluntarily watch many German films because the acting often seems a bit dodgy, so I'm afraid I'm the wrong person to ask for tips.

Burnt at the stake.
^
Oh, ok. Was just interested.

Erm, I think I may have to arrange for you to be murdered in some grisly yet sustainable and environmentally- aware manner. Can you just give me your address? It's nothing personal, it's just a revenge thing I will need to do. Though I dunno why, really. All Dan ever seemed to do was criticise my taste in horses and try to nettle me by pretending he didn't think I was totally wonderful. But still. I had an inexplicable, twisted sort of fondness for him, and it's what he would have wanted.

Ha, you need to teach me how to fly- it looks fun. Maybe my fave of your sotds, actually...
^
Your favourite? Wow. Just for that, I'll take you up with me some time. I suggest flying over Jay's house and trying to wee down his chimney.

This is so fantastic! It reminds me of Wings of Desire...one of my favoristist fims of all time. Congrats on SOTD!
^
I know what you mean. I wasn't thinking of that, but when I saw it, I was reminded of the original German film that was based on.

you're doing it again- sitting on the front page for days on end!!
^
Huh! I haven't been sitting on the front page at all! I stood on it one day and flew on it the next, so nurr. Next time, get your facts right.

did you bought the space on the homepage ? :)
^
I was just looking after the space for the mist-obsessed tree who owns it.

However, in the cold light of day I can realise how blessed we are to have your face on the cover two days running.
^
Who the hell are you? And what have you done with Dan?

seven in a row with no nudity, it just won't do!
^
Yeah, I know what you mean. You wonder how exactly they're getting their kicks from these things. I fear it must be something so depraved that I haven't even thought of it yet.

I'm no longer pointing at you and laughing. Now i'm pointing at you and clapping, which is something i can only do because i have three hands.
^
That's useful. You could scratch your crotch while playing a Rachmaninov piano concerto.

What a delight to have your sweet face on the cover 2 days in a row ;)

Great shot, great SotD, mucho congrats, dear !

^
Thanks Philippe. I missed it yesterday as I was doing special things with our mutual friend Viktor all day, but am rejoicing today.

Quite quite vulgar to have your face on the cover two days running.
^
So sorry. Through no fault of my own, my mug was selected as the goodwill ambassador of the anti-foggy tree campaign.

magpie delicious-ness. I dig it muchly. nothing quite like a dash of B&W glamour, NY & fairies... when's the movie coming out?
^
It's out now, but only in my brain, which has a somewhat limited seating capacity - understandably.

Thanks very much. It involved lots of fiddle-faddle, but fiddle-faddle is my middle name. Only with a silent Z. So "Zfiddle-faddle".

That is the correct protocol in such cases. Thank you for adhering to it.

Between this »link and this »link but in film noir.

I love it.

^
Thank you! For a film noir, I'd need some pumps and a gun.

I think this probably looks best in a big enlargement. I never thought I'd say this, but the Polaroid itself is actually too small for it's own content in this case.
^
Damn. I misplaced an apostrophe in there. Please excuse me.

Hope to see it one day as a reality.

Do gussets sometimes grow on trees then, Dan? If so, I must depart on a quest to find such a tree and take a picture of it. (If I wait there long enough, I expect some fog will eventually descend for the purpose.)

Such a shame you have already forgotten your foggy trees roots. And they were burgeoning so nicely too.
^
As I was brushing my teeth only this morning, I had a fantasy about doing a foggy shot of a gusset tree.

Your transparent legs and feet, I love the most!
Really looks like flying high above the skyscrapers!
So, be careful and don't get hurt!

^
Good point. And stay away from and giant fly swats.

The bottom part of the foil looks more transparent because I shone light on the top half of the foil from above and on the bottom part of the photograph from between the layers.

Oh, this is brilliant!

I've always wanted to fly above new york...

^
Wouldn't it be wonderful? I'd love to peep in at the windows of people on the 88th floor, too.
