This is cute, but the date/camera/film format you have listed doesn't match. Are you sure this isn't a digital photo?

hi - thanks for the question - the original image was, as stated, made using a holga with a polaroid back, in 2005 or 2006. Honestly I don't remember the exact date given that at the time I reckoned that access to polaroid film would be an unquestioned reality for some time to come and dating film and prints has never been remotely interesting to me. if it's image artifacts you are wondering about, a digital camera was used to crop and digitize the image. The digital conversion was made a few years back... no i don't remember when... I was being lazy and needed to just get a quick capture while my scanner was, then, still in a packing crate - hence the low res. For purposes here on polanoid it was the only polaroid scan to which I had immediate access and I wanted to do a first test upload. I'm glad I did, because there's more than a little bit of a learning curve on this site. I've been finding the polanoid user experience delightful in many ways but somewhat oblique both for navigation and file management.

I probably should have labeled this as a "test" image, but I didn't think anyone would be looking. nor did I expect that anyone would care when a cute furry face showed up - not an especially serious image - another reason for using it. Again I'm glad I ran the test and tested the waters. I understand polanoid much better now. Next time I upload images I'll properly scan them - though metadata will likely always be a bit sketchy as I'd rather be shooting.

Now I'll go back and drift through the user interface and see what kind of trouble I can get into in editing metadata and adding descriptions.

cheers,
