Yep, the FF is definitely best outdoors! I found shooting from shadows into strong daylight gave best results with that one - but good luck finding strong daylight at this time of year!
Also, I found a little bit of exposure to light actually gave warmer tones than shielding it completely... but it's tricky, if you expose it too much, it just boils it!

^ I have a friend in Australia, maybe I should pay her a visit... there's bound to be good strong daylight there at the moment! ;) So basically trial and error *and* patience then. Ta for the tips! |

It is tricky stuff indeed! For what it's worth, my best results so far have come indoors, with lots of electric light, and the exposure wheel all the way to the white....
