Beautiful. A superb self. Windows and frames, and frames and windows. The border of the picture itself framing the scene, the room, the self absorbed in thought and lighting a cigarette. The window framing the neighborhood outside. And then more windows across the street, framing other rooms, other selves. Marvelous. A bit of Edward Hopper in it.

but where did you drag this colour from in this film??

^ magic light. ok, serious: this room is pink. and it just beautifully renders light indeed. and for the id-uv, this seemed to be just the last dram it needed next to bright (indirect, but with contrasts) sunlight. window. not door. double-window even. a door would be risky without balcony. but even a balcony with door would be at that old houses.
