Ah, thanks! *blush*
I'm late, really - Q, L and D have already had one each. Your turn next?

That's it. The Lamb.

Worth a visit. Good food, cute beer garden and pretty.

they didn't let us!!

used to go to a conference there every year and stumbling back to the dorms from the pub up the road (what's it called??) used to have a swim. it's a bit muddy and grim (lots of duck shit i suppose) - not recommended!

^
The Lamb? Never been inside. Looks pretty from the outside though.
So, swimming crime then! I won't grass you up to the fuzz. Scout's honour.

wonderful weathered domes. and by far the best photo of the observatory i've seen.

i love herstmonceux.. i've spent many a happy hour swimming in the moat tangling myself up in the water lillies.

^
They let you swim in the moat?! I'd expect the guards to run out and prod me with their pikes if I tried that.

Thanks for the nice words! I knew this film and that subject would work well together. Maybe I'll try with some 669 or something next time - need to get that green captured somehow...

nice. i'm actually interested in finding and using a 103. any comments?

The 103 has always been good to me, and you should be able to pick one up cheap.
The only thing I would say is that it's a fairly early model, so you have to be careful to check the condition - make sure it has a good lens, a clean battery compartment (no corrosion from leaking batteries!) and smooth rollers.

Other than that, go for it! It has a great glass lens and can easily be used for this square 80-series film with a bit of jiggery-pokery.

wow impressive, such a well deserved shot of the day, congratulations!

Thanks LiA, I'm so pleased to see everyone likes this place as much as I do! We should get a bus and do a group visit. I'll bring muffins.

reminds me of a computer game called "myst" or something.

There are big metal domes in Myst? Sign me up! (well, I can probably sign myself up...)

Tip of the cap, dear astronomer. I like to think that even as a young lad you knew this sweet day would come.

The domes remain indeed. "Just as intriguing as ever." Well put, my friend, and well captured.

(Taste? Did you lick the copper?)

^
I'm not sure I predicted this exactly (I didn't even hold a polaroid camera until I was 20) but this place has always been such a good friend to me, I should have known it would have my back in this endeavour!

Thanks for the inspiration - probably wouldn't have occurred to me to do a three-piece without your example, so cheers for that.

The domes taste of pennies, much like the liberty bell.

Amazing choco-upload today - I'm very happy to have stumbled upon it. Hope to see at least one of them on the cover before long!

You got your wish! Thanks for the kind words, glad you like it.

Bitchin' roids man. I like the big metal boobies.

I guess you have to take it where you can get it. Thanks though!

Well done, governor. I love when space age structures look weathered. Martian ruins.

Yes, a dynamic chocolate composition. Very often (70% of the time) chocolate film looks numbingly boring. But not here. Vigorous tones in this strong triptych.

^
Thanks, boss. I'll have to go back again soon - I don't think I quite explored the full polaroid potential of the place (my colour shots came out too wishy-washy to do the corroded green justice).

Interesting observation (ouch) regarding choco's boredom index. I do see your point (choco can so easily be just used as a convenient 'vintage brush') Coincidentally, this trio represents about 30% of the shots I took, so I suppose I uploaded just the right number...
