my goodness, i'm so overworked that i don't even have time to comment great pictures that appear here. i saw that one yesterday and couldn't stop looking. wonderful work. the colour of the wall. his expression. the movement of his hand. the white shirt and the lovely pink in the background. the jacket out of blue. just perfect.
and congratulations!

^

i will just say that your comments are wonderful (i love that phrase "the jacket out of blue"!) and mean so much to me--thank you!

Well deserved, woop. Surprised I haven't made a comment here already because I know I meant to! I love his expression and wonder if there actually is a coat hook in the wall especially for his jacket?
^

i love woops!

well, if there isn't a coat hook there just for his jacket, there should be. also, a tie rack, a hat tree, a shoe organizer, and a drawer of silk scarves.

even that X has a certain jaunty cleverness about it!

it is amazing to see a shot taken on your street, of something you see all the time by someone you only know through the internet. does that makes sense. this is like the house was for you..
^

i know exactly what you are saying. also, i never really thought anyone else would be obsessed by that house, or find anything interesting about it, or even notice it, for that matter.

i have a very important question for you!!! my favorite little taco place/grocery store on bedford --matamoros puebla-- has its gates down...have they closed? i don't want to believe it....

Love the details in this little slice of life.
I just read all the available info but can't seem to find out what Mr. Oliver was playing.

^

he plays alternative, classical, and r & b; here, he was playing and singing his own works! amazing--started out with a classical sound, then became...just beautiful poetry when he started singing.

I like this chap. Who is he?

I also like the dodgy wall. Who thought that paint job was a good effort? You?

Not quite enough trees in this polagraph for me. But other than that.

an amazing violinist and singer, he is. and so nice, too.

i was paid $2.00, before taxes, to paint that wall! after taxes, i owed $4.50.

that's marquestoliver. one word.

Oh! Marvelous.

Goodness. This is an animated Polaroid. A three to four second 669 clip of Marques playing.

And so many nice details. I suppose his jacket hanging on the wall is the one that will steal my heart.

Short Sleeves.

^

he is amazing. he came up here for a day. that was 4 months ago. when he played, the horsehair on his bow broke, and its white strands kept weaving in and out of his hair. he played so wonderfully, but his voice...nearly killed me. he was wearing cowboy boots.
