i'm not into surfing at all, but i really consider the waiting time as major in surfing. it determines everything. i would compare it to the moment when the football player puts the ball on the penalty spot. i really like what you say in the article, and like the tryptich a lot!

^ yes i remembered that shot... and knew what you meant! i didn't realise the titles were so similar though. I called mine that cos i wrote a short article for a surf mag recently called 'the wait'. this was one of the photos that didn't make the final version - which was ridiculous because this was the picture that defined the title. although they are not quite 'twins' they could be considered 'siblings' ((is there a french word for siblings? or is it just 'enfants de memes parents'? or something)) and zveliakine might be interested!! |
