The scanners continue to find and harass me. Fortunately, I've buckets of film with which I buy them off. When the supply runs out, I'll have to flee to Argentina, but that time is a bit off and I plan to abscond with vats of pre-cooked bacon to use as currency. Will share when you arrive.

I'm glad these arrived here, thanks for the extract....I think when I'm back for a while we should get together and teach ourselves wet collodian processes....with the unavoidable eventual demise of polaroid its the way to go.

This is a truly beautiful series not for the technique but he way you used it

^
thx, hugh.
yes, it's always the use and the technique a background. let's do it, sounds interesting. playing with emulsions... in Riga? received the albumen print I bought, btw.! marvellous...now, I see.

this is the best of this serie i think......
i mean all beautiful.... but this one.....perfect!!!

^
interesting..when I had finished the series, I also liked this one most. And I asked Lea (the girl on the photo) which one she thinks is the best. She opted for [1], quite soon. And the more time there's inbetween the shooting and now, I think she's damned right. but sometimes I am between that one and this again...

(plus, I -speaking from the material- I like the dark tones of the other two's chemical combination more. funny.)

thanks again, erasmus-people.

Jesus, man. I want you to come out here to Sonoma County for a week or three, show me the chemical mixings and ground glass rotatings . . . let me apprentice for just a short time. Pear, I'm sure, will fly out as he's well on his way to socialite status (something about an elevator full of valuable poryphyry statuettes as an inheritance).

Ready to hit the West Coast or what?

For You: Yes, I would let my fingerprints taken and visit the States. too many good things there you, drew and carmen are able to show, and which nearly get forgotten these days for other reasons.
though, I still don't know if I would be able to resist to say what I think if they ask me about communism when I enter. As I still believe the general IDEA is not the worst...(did you know the region tuscany is sucessfully driven by communists?).
well, hope you will still be able to get the wine from there after the scanners found this reply, mate.
I'm flattered.

I'm really, really, happy to see these chocos here, almost three months after the preview. I believe I said so back then, but I'll say it once again - I am entranced by Leas choco eyes. Back in August when I first got the preview, she looked at me from my desktop and I sat there for days at end getting very little done studie-wise. Instead I think that those three polas (they where three back then) urged my to polaroid my friends, something I have been doing, besides the wetlands and the ferries. They, the chocos etc, are nowhere near this (I don't even scan them) - I can't get this close etc - but this is what I'm aiming for. Maybe in a couple of years, no? :)

hm. what shall I say? I'm very flattered, of course. But also have to say I just wandered around your blog, and now my desktop is full of your thumbnails, covering the Lea-preview (yes, same here. had to remind me I have to finish the scans).
And once again, thanks for asking me to chocolize Lea's eyes. That was a wonderful idea (and a funny conversation I had with her. we were laughing like mad).
yeah, one I saved up. did not fit in the preview as it's kind of has a sad mood (which interestingly gets some more votes here, though less favs. well, statistics. but interesting and helpful a bit to withdraw own connotations) just due to the long exposure time and the fact there was a blink at exactly that time - which I didn't noticed, as I was looking at the drop and her lips in the reflection. love it. maybe one day I ask a friend to photoshop her eyes. not for the polaroid, but for her).

It is 2.30 a.m. in Sweden. Johan maybe is sleeping now? But I bet he is seeing these already in his sleeping head ~

He is going to be h-h-happy in the morning!

Powerful moving from [1-2-3] to [4] ... looking away and then [4] boom. Eyes. On you.

I hope. and I hope there won't be too much comments tomorrow. I mean, I hope, I love reading them, but I guess I will have to come back to them a bit later. have stuff to do. yes, stuff. but these had to go online now, waited too long already (broken computer. ah! blue foil glued to windows. ah! etc. stuff.)

glad you like the order. wasn't sure about it, moved the thumbs back and forth, and finally moved them back into the chronological position, thinking there's some spirit in it I just can't grab.
