^ THANK YOU! That is the biggest compliment you could possibly give me. Without wishing to critisise other people's choice of subject matter or, more to the point, the choices of those who vote for SOTD, there is a "sameness" about most of the images that become Shots of the Day and I would would love more of my type of picture, not necessarily my own shots but anyone's, to be seen on the front page of the website

^ Thank you - this is my favourite out of the pictures I took in Valencia; fo me it captures the slightly seedy, run down but also vibrant atmosphere of Barrio del Carmen, which will be spoiled and ruined if the whole area is redeveloped and "gentrified" so that local people cannot afford to live there any more, only rich incomers. On a different topic, a second hand camera shop near the Plaza Redonda had a 600SE for sale. but although tempted I had no way of ensuring it was working properly, so didn't buy!
