That's interesting. I had the same thing happen to me...I helped my cousin with a school project where we did some long exposures on the Thames. The project was 'documenting changes', so we were hoping to get some (blurry) people walking past. Only, they didn't come out. In the end we had to walk really, really slowly past the camera. Like exaggerated slow motion. People thought we were nuts. I suppose it was cheating, a bit. It looked cool though. It's very strange how people are there, but they don't appear on film. On yours I think you can just about see some people, very faint, in the middle distance?

yeah...you can kinda make out some sets of legs.

the one shot in particular that surprised me is the blueish dock photo. so many people were walking along that bridge as i was shooting...but not even a trace of them appeared.

Very cool the way the lights only light a small area and everything else is dark (I suppose this must make it a good alley for dealing!). Nice shot.

haha thanks. what's crazy to me is all of these alleyways were filled with people. they just didn't show up with the long exposure.
