close ...very close.... but a pressed up against the window... or a shadow of someone lurking in the background where the trees reflection is in the window may have just taken the horror aspect, or suspense level up a notch... styling/ light/ medium wise you are bang on though.

is this before or after the killing?

^ before the killing. I was trying to get the atmosphere of the films like in the beginning of them when you know something is going to happen cause its a horror movie.. but you just dont know what or when. I wasnt trying to make a scarey picture but just get the tone of those type of films. thank you!
