oh, yes, yes, sorry, I was fascinated by your shot, and wrote the wrong... (and its weekend - wine ...) expressionism of course is right. the film is b/w but has colored scenes (some are green, some blue...).

^ wine is good :-) But you wrote that in the morning :-D I'm just having beer, but just because I have a cold. And strong beer ;-) I'm still on topic, 'cause when I took that Pola, I was carrying a bottle of Champagne with me ;-) Good to know about the coloured scenes in Caligari. I just have an old DEFA-Copy on S-8, which is not complete of course. So I have to look!

this is great! let me think of an impressionistic painting or filmstill (think of: "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari").

^ Isn't Caligari b&w ;-) ? hmm..maybe more expressionism? or we just have different paintings in our mind. but caligari definetely is expressionism. anyway, you are right, is has a lot of a painting. one of the polas i would refer to as image and not as picture. thx!
