Through some sleazy backwater channels I've now got my hand on the film and in a couple of minutes I intend to watch it. If it is as good as you say (and I hope) it is then the MoM-release will go straight to my "to-buy"-list!

You seem to move around the right circles ;-) Hope you liked it. Did you watch anything else by Watkins by the way?

Hadn't heard about this Watkins film before. After reading about it I realize that I have to find it somehow. Great to see a fellow cineast here :)

Hey, thanks again for stopping by. This film is in fact amazing, as everything Watkins has ever done. A tough critic to american police state. It was even forbidden for many years in the country. Luckily for all of us film enthusiasts, the great website Masters of Cinema (www.mastersofcinema .com) released it on DVD a couple of years ago. See if you can find it in Sweden. If you can not, I will be happy to lend it and mail it to you. One way or another you have to see this one! :-) Cheers!

Thanks a lot for all your comments :) Yes, this is a terrific movie, as is everything its director Peter Watkings made. It was out of distribution (even forbiddden) for many years, but fortunately it has been re-edited on DVD recently. Hope you can see it. I will look for Alvarez Bravo´s Polaroids this weekend. Enjoy Mexico lindo!

I'm amazed by this image...congratulations !

Thanks Polaspin! Are you familiar with the movie? It is hard to find though, as its broadcasting and distribution was forbidden for many years. The director (Peter Watkins) is one of the bravest filmmakers ever!
