I really must hit the road, but this exchange is a touch maddening. Okay. Here's the best I can do (perhaps):

There's a saying that I know (as I was born in a town with a large Sikh population) that goes: All Sikhs are Singhs, but not all Singhs are Sikhs. Now, if that doesn't make sense, I've lost my witty introduction to ... All hanging prepositions are stranded, but not all stranded prepositions are hanging (I can envision numerous instances of non-hanging strandees). Meaning, that NO, not necessarily, but in the case of my casual comment, YES!

Finally, someone with whom to gnaw a bone! Heh.
