yea, search for polaroid 669, 690 [for color] packfilm on ebay, or 667 for b&w. i think fuji makes cheaper packfilm though - fuji fp100. i've become partial to the b&w film.

oooh a 340, fancy. and not only is the packfilm ceaper and easier to come by than sx-70, you can do polaroid transfers and stuff mow.
^
is it really cheaper? thank god! i can't wait to experiment with the polaroid transfers! I've never done that before.

i was totally in love with the 600se for a while, but it's so expensive. i decided that i'd wait for it since i already have a propack that takes 669 film, but i didnt have a good 600 film camera, which is why i invested in a slr 680. if you want a good, cheap camera, for now, that uses 669 film, the propack can go for around 30-50 dollars on ebay. or you can hold out for a 600se.

actually, i just won a bid for a vintage 340 ($40). I hope it's good! I've seen some sample photos taken with a 340, and they're quite impressive. Let's see if I can do the same... I'm excited to use a different format. My SX-70 is dipping into my bank account!

ive only been bidding on the sx-70s that come with cool accessories, but i think im going to wait a little longer or until comeone gives one to me or something, since it's practically the same as my slr680, except i can just use 600 film which is so much easier to come by. damn this frivolity! self control, micaela, self control. anyway, i think the slr 680/690s are good investments. i highly recommend purchasing one.
^
i've seen them around, and just recently realized how cool they are - they combine the sx-70's features with advanced flash mechanisms! nice! so i will definitely get one somewhere down the line. right now, i'm trying to find a good price on a 600SE. Those are gorgeous. i bought some 669 film, and have no camera to use it with.

well i have the slr 680, which folds and has a manual focus just like sx-70 models do, but it takes 600 film. i just want to get a folding sx-70 just for the sake of owning one. im frivolous like that. and im working on it, ive been on ebay for the past 3 days trying to hunt a cheap one down.
^
i've never heard about the slr 680. That sounds like a good one too! Now I think i want one, because I'm frivolous too... :D

Good luck on finding a good SX-70. I went for a semi-pricey one, because it came with a bag and a few flashbars.

your pictures make me want to buy an sx-70. im serious. and i love peaches.

GASP! you don't have one yet? You totally HAVE to get one. It's a great feeling to have control over the focus. I can't buy any other 600-film Polaroid camera anymore.

way to take a common subject and shoot it brilliantly!

thanks so much! glad you like it. the tree stopped me in my walk. i was in a hurry, but I just HAD to stop and take a quick shot.

I like it a lot. It is a bit surreal; could easily pass as a painting.

yeah, the clouds were awesome that day. i think it has something to do with that and the dead and leaf-less, but fruitful tree.
