2006-10-18 // 18:50:53 ulf Yeah, I was just being silly. I'm not a fan of any of that stuff myself.
But anyway - so joining the air force will actually get you out of the country (and I primarily mean this as in the countryside, not the nation state, although the latter would be interesting as well)?
I'm a college-dropout myself, for perspective. Not because I couldn't afford to continue (there wasn't even any tuition for Austrian colleges and universities at the time) but because it turned out that I never really liked school to begin with. I grew up more privileged than you, though (more money and was born into a city of 1.5 million people.)
2006-10-17 // 23:43:17 ulf I see you've embraced the potential prospect of dying for god's favorite nation. So awesome. :-]
^
haha. oh lord. dying isn't in my vocab. I'm going to do something petty, like a pharmacy tech. they even have still photography as a career. & plus, air force, they say, is the best branch to get into. I'm not doing it because I love my country or anything like that, I'm doing it because my parents are too poor to put me through college.
2006-10-17 // 02:36:12 ulf So then let me ask you this: how are your escape plans coming along?
^
pretty good. Air Force. god bless america.
2006-10-17 // 01:22:40 ulf Don't you see he's mowing dirt? And then he'll go have a steak burger at Arby's...and some Krispy Kreme donuts and coffee afterwards. Ain't nothing wrong with the country life, sir ;-)
^
there's nothing wrong with the country life at all. except for the fact that I'm stuck in the middle of it.
