most agreeable! sometimes it feels like a monopoly game people and countries (what a strange word superpower) play, changing the rules whenever however they want - and everybody is looking at it in disbelieve
not knowing how to counter all this with effect - whoever you are wherever, if you care: talk to people, ask questions point fingers and try to explain. my vote not, too

I would like to add that war in most cases is not something that can be done with any side comeing out with clean hands

human history is filled with bloody conflict the current conflict has been rageing on for centuries and no amount of good will and peace offerings will ever stop it

in the end even a country as powerfull as the US is helpless to really stop the war ...(it will always be there regardless) in my opinion the best thing to do is to work within your country to try and ensure that war will never reach your doorstep ...because ultimately if people want to kill eachother they will find a way

Sorry for the vote. It was an automatic click.

Unfortunatelly the history is written by the powerful and the winners. There is no justice in human history. I think that it's not so difficult to understand both sides of people. There is pain in each side. But both side of governments and politicians is not easy to understand.

I always believe that in a war the most powerful has the key to peace. Some people believe that Israel is the watchdog of US in middle east, and seems to be correct because of the tolerance they show. As for us, people who live in peace, it's an obligation to be on the alert.

You can take a look to my hypocrisy photos few days ago...»link

Yeah...where to even start, you know? I believe that I have some of these things figured out pretty well intellectually, but when one opens oneself to empathy beyond the hint of a frown as one hears mentions of yet another something or rather having wiped out who knows how many in one fell swoop through the news media then what are ones options, really?

Wallowing in ones impotence doesn't do much for anybody.

If it serves as an impetus for you to become more involved politically you'll in all likelihood sooner or later find out that modern nation states and multinational corporations are virtually invincible given the meager numbers of outraged like-minded folk with the means to accomplish much of anything. The silent majority of complacent, status-quo-approving folk and the political and economical systems that they feed on and vice versa are an overwhelming force of conservatism.

That seems to leave the option of joining a humanitarian organization and helping people in need in person and on the ground. Now that won't make the conflicts disappear but you might stop feeling powerless in the face of adversity...or you'll feel all the more powerless ultimately.

What it comes down to for me, emotionally, is that we're all selfish bastards that don't do nearly enough to ensure that these governments that arrange for our lives to be less complicated and these corporations that exist so they can sell us things endlessly in exchange for capital gains and market share and power act less like the self-serving, destructive monsters that they are according to their current designs.

i will not vote on this because you have asked people not to .. however i will applaud you for this image ... at the moment i am feeling similar impotence ... i am so angry at how israel seems to be allowed to do what ever it wants in this world with no condemnation from the us and uk .. completely exasperated
