Kabelsteg
#0574
In the foreground, you can see the gravel banks in the so-called Little Isar River. In the background, the Art Nouveau bridge known as the Kabelsteg (Cable Bridge).

Electricity from the "Muffatwerk" hydroelectric power plant once powered the trams in Munich's city center. The cables ran through the body of the bridge from the power plant on the eastern bank to the city center on the western bank. This is how the bridge got its name.

Tip:
An emulsion lift on canvas; no further manipulation.

I have no idea where the brown areas in the image come from, as it was definitely a black and white film.
