Last tree standing
Several trees on the Heiligengeistfeld, in the Hamburg quarter of St. Pauli, were felled in december by the local authorities.
A review, carried out some weeks after a single poplar had fallen on a caravan, showed that most of the trees on the Heiligengeistfeld had never been officially planted. Instead, they grew there of their own accord, what is absolutely intolerable for a german authority. Thus, all unlicensed trees were removed.
