The Particulars

I recently acquired some very old Polaroid 339 Colour 3x4 Intergal Film and it did indeed pique my interest...so...off I go to try and get an image out of...perhaps...nothi ng.

1) The chemical pods were almost dryed up...I estimate maybe 50%.
2) The film speed had dropped to about 2-3 fstops below the rated speed of fresh film [ISO 640].

The Image

The strip above the image was a center section-cut of the fourth exposure of the flat print [rated at ISO125]...before revitalizing the the dye transfer chemicals. This was just a quick simple test for proof of concept...nothing fancy...that can come later...if successful.
After revititizing...and running thru the rollers...surprise.. .surprise...a image appeared after giving it 15 minutes of dark processing.
So far the dominate colours are yellow, green, flesh...also yellow is the very first top layer on the negative. There's also other cross-dye colour interactions on the image.

Very interesting!!
If the chemicals are reformulated...maybe there can be a greater colour fidelity.
It did save the film from going into the dustbin and landfill.

Please enjoy!!
