John Wilmer, artist
Walking past his studio/shop, I saw him talking to a customer at his work table just like this. I thought he looked great and asked him if I could take his photograph with some experimental film. He said "You have an SX-70 in there? (meaning my case)" I said I did. He agreed and then showed me a painting he did of his work bench and then his newest digital camera. He took my picture as part of a panorama and I quite honestly expressed my admiration for the coolness and great picture quality he got with it. Then I took these. He showed me his Canon DSLR with a lens baby on it and I took a few shots of him with that too. Given that I walked in off the street and took his time for nothing in return, I think he was incredibly gracious.
