In Support Of Chemistry
To be inspired is a unique human attribute. I was preparing some vintage SX-70's images for scanning and the thin gossimer white masks were de-laminating due to age. So...I removed it and was ready to set it aside for later, when out of the corner of my mind's eye..I saw another image. It was the small little window of the process it's self. Something the chemist would see emerging thru the many layers onto the little window into the light. Once the mask that covered the process was removed, a whole new window developed...where the ephemeral images, sometimes hard and sometimes soft merged with the process that created it. So, with that thought in mind...I dedicate this little project to creator of the process Edwin Land and called it Land"s Little Window. It's more of a concept of the mind's eye merging with our human eye of preception.
Please enjoy.
At my favorite place to check film...the old Carson City Capitol Blbg.
The base support looked interesting.
It's another additive screen image. It cracked while in the camera.
Side Note : the printing on the the image is the chemical formuals for the SX70.
