The ship faced in 23 directions at once, inexplicably. No matter what direction it faced at any given nano-second, there where always two views in the bridge's view screens. One showed a bright light with vaguely moving half-seen figures of ephemeral form, the other; gentle moving gtadients of blue-yellow. Which way should we go?
