Ah, the smell of immaculately kept grass and caustic paste from a couple of Polaroids shot just minutes earlier. Talk about strong sense memory flashbacks.

I strongly recommend scanning black and white film in color. Maybe I'm always viewing my photographs in yellow-shifted ambient light, but black and whites scanned with black and white scanner settings invariably don't resemble the tonal range of the photographs I hold in my hands. The usually blue-shifted white point of most displays these days probably does its part to make black and white scanned black and white photographs displeasing to me. But these...now that I'm scanning in color I get the warmth and the softness on the screen that I was missing previously.
