New Jersey can strike the uninitiated as one enormous, never-ending suburb. I have to admit that I don't get that state at all. I can only deal with that little stretch along the Hudson right across from Manhattan. Nevertheless I find there to be spunk in going to Jersey, if only for a brief excursion.
