Summer kitchen
I know this pola isn't that great (bad light...), but the subject is here more important than the photograph. I don't know if you ever heard of something like that, but this is a photograph of the "summer kitchen" at my grandparents' house.
I once read a French book about WW2 (don't remember the title, it wasn't that rgeat anyway...) where there was a summer kitchen mentioned too and then I realised my grandparents weren't the only ones who had one.
A summer kitchen is like a small house outside the house itself, in the garden. Usually it isn't as concrete as the house itself (the one at my grandparents is almost all wooden) with everything you need to cook and have a lunch or eat. You can go to the garden near by to pick some vegetables or choose to have a lunch outside and it is supposed to be cooler than inside the house (which is not the case actually!)
Anyway, I love this kitchen because it is much more than a kitchen. I always spend my summer holidays at my grandparents, and everybody is always in the summer kitchen during summer, it's like a second house because it's well furnished with sofas and everybody loves to be there.
There is this old cooker that works with wood and not electricity, and since polaroid films are now precious, I wanted to take a photograph of something that is precious and full of meaning to me.
