Industrial losses
These old drying tanks sit deserted. The industry that used to employ 15,000 people and bond communities now serves just 1,500 and is run by the French who by default don't have the local people's best interest at heart.
So everything rots.
The one thing this ground is plentiful in is Psilocybe, so it's not all bad.
