Someone slept here once....
This is in Chacachacare too, a disused leper colony in Trinidad....
It's offshore, past the Bocas which lead to Venezuela. This was shot at about 5pm in the Nun's quarters, when the air starts to cool, the birds start to gather in the trees and the light is subdued...
It's a creepy place. I have a soft spot for it, but its very creepy. In the other end of this room is a chute, where bodies are placed leading directly into an incinerator.
On this trip, it looked like someone had been there and had left in a hurry...or maybe that was about five years ago and the evidence lingered.
Unlike the other rooms, this one had no graffiti....i think people still find it sinister that this was the room that the bodies went through. And that sink was where the nurses would wash their hands after the deed....
