I know this looks like another lame picture of another lame tree in someone's lame backyard and for all intents and purposes that is exactly what it is. However, for me this lame picture of a lame tree in my lame backyard has special significance. This has been a particularly harsh and difficult winter here in Mid Missouri, as in other parts of the country. So, when it warmed up to the low 70's today, and the birds started singing and I could actually see buds on this pear tree, I just felt it should be my first entry into the Spring 'Roid Week 2007 collection. So, raise a glass as I say a toast:

Spring has sprung.
Fall has fell.
Summer will be
Hot as....usual.
(What did you expect? There had to be a lame poem, too.)
