Mare Island is an amazing place. An old naval base, since decommissioned, it's now a bunch of old brick buildings and dry docks that gather dust and broken windows. Quite possibly the best place I've ever found to take pictures. Acres and acres and acres of great buildings and heaps of, well, things and very, very few people about to get in the way.

Andi had a great time biking around the island with me and I have to commend her for her patience as we trekked from empty building to abandoned vehicles to rooftops, boat decks and everything in between. We both decided I need to find more models. . .a huge Pola-gathering at this place would be unbelievable.
