I always used to call Heather, Sunshine. That was because she always had, and still has, a very sunny disposition. While she was still in high school, she was one of the drum majors for the marching band that I directed. I accompanied her on many, many solos over the years. When she called at the last minute to ask if I would accompany her for her audition for admittance to the music program at the University of Southern Missouri, I told her I would be happy to help out. She has a beautiful voice and I'm sure she will be accepted to the program. She also plans to get married this fall.
