LDRS 25 took place from Thursday, June 29th through Tuesday, July 4th 2006 near Canyon and Amarillo Texas. Since traveling from Austin to Amarillo takes about a day each way (yes, Texas is rather big,) my friends and I could only attend for about two of days. The next large dangerous rocket ship festival (LDRS 26) will be in Nevada between July 12th and July 17th 2007. Of course I'd like to go. It would be great to catch the launch of a Q engine rocket (on par with Godzilla in amateur rocketry orders of magnitude.) There's nothing like standing out in the hot sun all day long, bending backwards every 3 minutes or so to watch another rocket dart up into the sky. And I mean that positively and sincerely.
