This houseboat was featured on channel 4s grand designs, a TV program thats premise usually consists of a pair of overwealthy architects or media peoples quest to build a huge narcissistic house.
This house boat was different as it was made of recovered free materials and built on quite a down to earth scale, sadly it was never completed and ended up being moored in the thames estuary for 18 months before a winter storm broke it free, a local fisherman then towed it to a nearby wharf where it was a tourist attraction for a few days, the inside had been vandalized and was home only to empty beer cans and tramps turds. A day after I took these polas it was towed away to who knows where?
