A local beauty shop owner, a Vietnamese immigrant who came to America in search of a better future and freedom in 1985, happily married over 40 years, very kind, quiet, reserved, and legally blind. I can't have anything but respect for the fact that she willing to talk about the fact that they have a gay daughter, and they embrace her. Then I asked how she handled her daughter being gay, she told me...She said, "love is blind and I am legally blind". We both laugh out loud.
