2007-03-31 // 20:24:58 Woops, I just notice a heated debate is going on here and woops again I just find the picture that won me SotD today has trees in it.
Oh, well, I don’t mean my shot deserves the honor or anything like that and I am well aware that there are tons of better shots out there that have not won SotD, but WHAT ON EARTH IS WRONG WITH TREES AND FLOWERS? OK, let’s talk about QUALITY. In my view, WHAT DETERMINES THE QUALITY OF A PHOTOGRAPH IS NOT WHAT IS IN IT BUT THE WAY IT WAS TAKEN. Trees and flowers do not make a picture bad automatically, just as nudity does not make a picture porn automatically. It all depends on how you deal with your subject matter. If you don’t believe me, you can shoot a Polaroid of trees tomorrow and let’s see if it will win SotD the next day?:) Gentlemen agree to disagree. Viva diversity! |
