For many years I would swap packs of film with Polaroiders, in exchange for one of thier originals. Many were super generous and sent me more than one. I went through them all this week and thought it would be great to exhibit them, in a non selling show. There are some seriously cool images from seriously talented people. It's time to share the love. I will be writing to all of you that exchanged with me, hoping you will agree to the show, which I will fund / crowd fund myself. I have no idea how long it will take, but I suspect 12 months or more depending on the gallery availability here in Lewes UK (the star brewery gallery).
I have yet to work out the numbers, and which images to show but I hope to show every Pola in my collection, and certainly 1 from every photographer in the collection. It may be that there is room for more, and that being the case, I will invite submissions. It's going to be slow, complex and very exciting. Bare with me.

I have a quantity of T664 that is a bit dodgy. I don't want to use it on projects, you might like to experiment. Some sheets in the packs are dry or part dry, and some of the packs have faulty tabs. Its a gamble, but you can have them 5.00 GBP each if you want. Mail me mike@mikehoban.com

Hello again, thank you to everyone who has contacted me about the Pola swap. I need to clarify, it is 1 x twin pack of either 664 or 690 for 1 x original Pola. If you want to offer me 20 Polas in exchange for 20 twin packs, thank you, but I would prefer just 1 Pola, Unless your are Warhol, Araki or Newton. Thanks.

I have uploaded images of 2 of the Polas mounted and boxed. These Polas were swapped with the great Polashooters Noidmaster and Carmen de Vos. They will never leave my possession!

Ive had a few people contact me about my Pola swap offer. the main question being "what am I doing with them?, answer?, nothing, I just mount them and put them in museum boxes, to look at every now and again. I also have the following cameras to swap for original Polas too, sensible offers.

2 x SX70 Tan Leather Cameras in working order but with broken film insert latch. It works when gaffer tape is used to hold it closed. I can send a little film of the camera operating to prove it does work.

1 x One600 Perfect condition working order
1 x Holga 120SF with Polaroid Back

As already said, this is just like the early film IP debacle. Film launched when not fit for purpose. I have all but given up on IP film now. I simply cannot get an image on the film, it may be the camera, but I am not going to spend hundreds of GBP on yet another SX-70 to find out, I already have 6 of the damn things. I have poured every penny into 664 and 5x4 peel apart. Scouring the planet has yielded over 400 twin packs of 664 and around 100 packs of 5x4 with only 1 dried up pack of 5x4 from 2005. Thats what I call a valid product. I would happily invest in any company that sought to bring back peel apart..... It works, but as for IP projects, no thanks, not until I can see a result on the damn film.

I agree with LATELIERp...The adapter is brilliant and perfect, just a shame all the early IP films I shot have faded so much that there is nothing left to scan...
