Ok, I take on board everybody's comments, some of which I agree with, some of which I don't. I just wanted to sound out other opinions and this, I think, I have done. I will post a pic of myself, if anyone REALLY wants to see me, when (or if!) I have an acceptable one available. And yes, Polanography should above all else be fun!

Come on folks, share it around a bit - a certain person's images are indeed very good but there are plenty of other people posting here whose images are equally praiseworthy and who would like at least the chance of winning SOTD!

Assuming the esteemed proprietors of this website would never wish to stifle opinion and criticism, do any other members think that the selection of the winner and runners up for the "Black and White" competition were bizarre? In saying this I do not wish in any way to take anything away from the photographers in question to whom I offer my congratulations but I just think, in my HUMBLE OPINION, that of the many hundreds of shots submitted (and there was a BIG entry for this particular project), something a bit more striking, memorable and representative of the fine definition and quality obtainable from Polaroid black and white film (especially types 665 and 55) could have been selected. Does anyone have any views either agreeing or disagreeing? I stress again that I am NOT attacking the photgraphers in question; all work is equally valid as an artisitic statement and once again I congratulate them on their success.
