Art and artists... a hard topic to talk about...
If we were living in XIX century it would be eassier to deffine art and artistry... but in the 60's and 70's the conceptual movement and other associated movements, specially artits that used photography give the shot of grace to art deffinition.

time to open a fine wine bottle... in a few weeks i´ll be unemployed. Lots of strange feeling about it: insecuirity, sadness (the school iworked in for 6 years it´s closing), but above all this feelings a great sense of FREEDOM... the world it´s a new playground to explore

People that rule
Last weekend I spent some time watching TV. Normally I hate television, but this time there were a few programs that I remembered me the “good old times” (normally I mock of this expression, but I guess I was kind of nostalgic); a Beatles documentary, and old chapter of Twilight Zone, George Harrison’s Bangladesh concert, Hitchcock’s “The man who knew too much”, Woody Allen’s “Zelig” and some old cartoons (Top Cat and the Pink Panther). So, in order to match with the mood settled by TV I decided to make a list of people who ruled (and some of them still do) and that are linked to my nostalgia and that we should revisit sometimes. Of course the list it’s not finished, so if someone want to add someone, please do it. There’s no special order in the list, just the way the names came up to my mind.
1. Cartoons: Scooby Doo , Top Cat, Pink Panther
2. TV shows: Alf, The Muppets Show
3. Writers: Julio Cortázar, Oliverio Girondo, Ray Bradbury, Ernesto Cardenal,
4. Movie makers: Hitchcock, Woody Allen
5. Musicians: Eric Clapton, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Mercedes Sosa, Carlos Jobim, Frank Sinatra, U2, Pearl Jam, Joaquin Sabina

Hi there polanoidians

First the first: HAPPY BIRTHDAY STOOPIDGERL
(maybe a little late... but that´s better that never)
Second: Plaroid Matters
yes to polaroid should be a verb
Does anybody knows where i could view the latest portraits of Walker Evans polaroided on sx-70? ´ve been looking for them without succes

third: personal matters
Reading all the messages makes me feel a little... what’s the word? short worded?... I mean, usually people think I’m a really skilful writer... but in fact I need lots of time to express myself trough written word (and when I do it in a different language than Spanish the time increases) so normally I end up using just a few words (maybe that could explain my love for Japanese poetry).

But today I feel full of words… much more than that; I feel like launching words to the world…

Tomorrow my brother and sister in law would be bringing their third child to this world: my first niece. This puts me in an ambiguous state of mind… i´m happy, but I had asking myself, and hadn’t found the answer: do I want to become a father someday?

I´m fighting with the conception of family I had learned with my own family… and some days I really doubt that family it´s a good thing for mental health… at least i´m sure my family it´s far from been healthy… could I rise a child, my own child, in a proper way?

Enough words for tonight… I suppose all this thoughts are too personal… but I needed to let them breath

I´M HAPPY!!!
Just today i was admitted into the econd level at the photo-studio-school of Saúl Serrano (one of the best plastic photographers in Mexico) with out taking the first level... he interviewed me and reviewed my portafolio, then he admitted me no matter my lack of experience at the darkroom... so i guess i´ll be learning, at last, how to print my own images...
